Map

The map below plots the institutions named as beneficiaries in Eudes’s Account-Inventory, marked in red. In blue are all the churches and institutions of Crusader Acre as identified by Denys Pringle (The Churches of the Crusader Kingdom of Jerusalem (Cambridge: Cambridge University Press, 1993), v. 4,16-17). By hovering over some of the beneficiaries on the map, the items earmarked for that institution in the list of donations will appear in the pop-up box.

Aside from his gifts to the Templars, Hospitallers, Franciscans, and a few other churches, Eudes’s donations did not go to institutions in the older part of the city, centered on the port in the Venetian, Pisan, and Genoese sections. Rather, gifts were made to several groups located in the northern suburb of Monmusard, including Holy Trinity, St. Catherine, St. Mary Magdalene, and St. Denys.
